Coming from a country steeped in history, diverse cultures and festivals where food plays an important role, it is no wonder that each state has developed its own specialty. In Singapore itself, the long-term support of northern India or South Indian cuisine, while still popular, has diversified to include specific cuisines reflecting the varied demographics of India. Beef Biriyani is lightly seasoned with jeeralsa (a sort of Kerala) and flavored with curry the taste of tender beef who uses it.
