Since the wars which dismembered the empire years, Armenia has been a small country. Throughout history, many people have set their sights on the conquest of this territory rich and enslave the population in the same exuberant. That said, Armenia remains a land with a
unique story, a fairy tale and the epic of an amazing culture distinctive.

Stones and pottery have been preserved in unique samples of the paintings and sculptures of Armenia. The walls of Etchmiadzin, Basilica Ereruyk, the Monastery of tartar and other temples carefully preserve exquisite decorations, carvings and reliefs, which, today, reflect the imagination of mankind. Paintings of Armenia is rich in ornaments depicting animals, plants, history of Christianity and scenes of everyday life.

The excitement and force of the imagination of artists have transformed ordinary stone walls in narrative art.

After a while, the icons creations began to appear in Armenia. Thumbnails representing religious imagery in picture books stand out, even now, in terms of its intensity and picturesque images.

The creativity of the Armenian nation is not confined to religious subjects. Since the appearance of the paintings mounted, the containing Soviet imagery became more common. In the 19th century, Armenia gave the world the gift of the shape of the great artist, Ivan marinist (Ovanes) Aivazovsky. Its maritime themes that represent the beautiful landscapes of the Caucasus and scenes of everyday life (shown in over 6000 tables) are filled with luxury sun glare and spill out of their brushes.

Another example of creativity can be seen in the famous carpets of Armenia. The roots of this element of pre Armenia Christianity creativity. It is no secret that the carpets in Armenia have a special status, which is almost esoteric. Even the ornaments represent the symbols God, glory, protection, sacrifice and success. The cross and crucifixion symbols multifaceted display swastikas and stars with many points lovely pictures represent the world and God.

God and the world are eternal images to be with humankind. These symbols are have been mainly used in the summary of Armenian painters contemporary creations such as Arship Gorki, Gagik Manukiyan, Minas Avetisiyan and others. Through lines abstract colors and express their views on the concept of creation. The global complex of humanity and creation itself is manifested in the juxtaposition of soft tones and shades of colors, like saturated carpets of the old masters (or abstract contemporary paintings) with sacred concepts.

Similarly, in the ancient frescoes and miniatures, contemporary paintings of Armenia have remained, throughout the centuries, as representations of a fine artistic emotions and unification with nature.
