Detoxification, or detox, is often used to refer to the elimination of toxic substances from the body. Take a holistic approach to detoxification, not only can detox your body but your mind and your environment. Toxins and chemicals are present in our food, water, our air and in the form of pollutants and pesticides. At work, we are exposed to microorganisms in the air and contaminants from the paint, carpets, air conditioning, and even our computers. Research has shown that a prolonged state of toxicity can undermine cellular function and may contribute to many chronic diseases. While our body has a built including liver detoxification, skin and urinary system, people living in larger cities may need a common "detox" to maintain a sense of well being. The physical symptoms of increased toxicity may include:

* Low power consumption, tiredness and fatigue
* Constipation, bloating and digestive problems
* Dull skin or chronic conditions skin such as acne and eczema
* Chronic headaches
* Breathing difficulties
* Allergies
* Dark circles under eyes
* insomnia or poor sleep quality
* Irritability and moodiness
* Lack of concentration
* Be more susceptible to infections or colds

While some people try to detoxification through fasting is not recommended by health professionals. There is no reason to buy supplements that claim detoxifying your system, or products of the detox diet. Most of these products contain amino acids, which you can get protein in their food. Substitute olive oil for regular cooking oil, and cut out caffeine and alcohol. Decaffeinated tea and coffee flavor as regular, or better yet, some fruit tea, herbal tea, fruit juice or water. The salad greens and vegetables such as spinach and broccoli, to boost your metabolism and immune system. To have healthy snacks like dried fruit, unsalted nuts and seeds instead of crisps and chocolate.

While you are getting a healthier body, why not double the pleasure of detox through your mind too? If you do not have time to meditate, try taking a leisurely stroll somewhere to clear his mind. If you have a pet, make more time for play, rest and reward your tender (or feathered) friend who loves you unconditionally. Invite a friend for a picnic with you, there must be lovely green space near your home or theirs. If the weather is bad, invite a friend or spouse to go see a comedy with you. Laughter is truly the best medicine! Do something totally absurd and funny, such as skating and karaoke.

There are few detoxification aides to benefit both mind and body. Massage is a great way to relax so much, and even the most basic massage stimulates the circulation and plasma myoglobin release of the muscles, restoring balance and normal muscle function. Clinical studies in India have shown yoga mental and physical benefits. Yoga not only to keep fit and flexible, but been shown to relieve stress and blood pressure. Last but not least, try to do some good old love to stretch your muscles, burns calories and releases endorphins into the bloodstream.

The results of one or two weeks of detoxification will be evident. You have more energy, feel happier and more relaxed, your skin looks better, and your mind will be clearer. Pregnant women or those with chronic illnesses should, of course, consult your doctor before taking any radical changes in your diet.
