Please help me to have a landscape oil painting on canvas signed Saints?

Where is the best place to look to research a painting and its artist. Its a painting of a village scene with a river and the bridge. online an appraiser said she thought the 19th century, but wasn't sure as I did not know the artist. The 1 only appears when I searched for a Saints that has religious paintings. Please help as I go insane. Thanks, but the signature is different of their image.
